The Sarah West Artistic Mentoring Program for Continued Fine Art Education announces a milestone event this Spring. As part of the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art’s Cultural Arts Enrichment Initiative, gallery founders, Sarah West and Michele West have aspired to offer more to the community, state and region in the realms of Culturally Enriched Opportunities and Involvements, surrounding the arts. Each year the artists strive to integrate new experiences into their programs while endeavoring to extend a helping hand to assist those who perceive these mentioned values to be out of reach.

In the Fall of 2017, the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art announced the debut distribution of the Sarah West Artistic Mentoring Scholarship for Continued Fine Art Education, as a Culturally Arts Enriching Outreach, made available to area local schools. In addition, the Sarah West Artistic Mentoring Scholarship, Purchase Gift Seed-Fund Program was established. Through this philanthropic form of Cultural Outreach, local area school students have been awarded the opportunity to engage in fine art studies, under the mentorship and artistic direction of local arts professionals in the ateliers of the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art. This program serves to continue to provide an enriching environment for Continued Fine Arts Education to those who may otherwise not gain such experiences due to circumstances, financial hardships, etc…

This endeavor has opened doors, and has provided ways for Smiths Station’s premiere art establishment to fulfill our dream in building a stronger, more sustainable and greater culturally enriched community through contributions from the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art in collaboration with community leaders and educators.

In March, the Sarah West Artistic Mentoring Program will debut After School Classes, as part of our local school(s) Extended Day Programs. Providing area school students with the opportunity to engage in fine art studies on localized level, at their school.

The Sarah West Artistic Mentoring Program, Extended Day Art Class, Spring Sessions will debut at Wacoochee Elementary School on March 19th and, West Smiths Station Elementary School on March 23rd.

This program will offer weekly fine art classes to enrolled students as part of Wacoochee Elementary & West Smiths Station’s Extended Day Program.

It is with sincere gratitude that we acknowledge this would not be possible without the encouraging support of students, art patrons, friends of the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art, and community collaborators such as civic leaders, and educators who have graciously chosen to collaborate, celebrate and support these milestones over the past ten years. We thank you and we look forward to celebrating more with our Culturally Appreciating Community in the decades to come!
