The Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art, A Center for Cultural Arts announces The Civility Paintings | Return Exhibition Spring 2020. Following their debut at the Alabama State Capitol commemorating the ALABAMA 200 bicentennial & National Women’s Suffrage Movement Centennial, the initial suite of Civility Paintings by Sarah West have returned to the artist’s namesake exhibit space for an ongoing exhibition.
This Spring the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art, A Center for Cultural Arts will host an ongoing exhibition celebrating the initial suite of Civility Paintings along with corresponding sketches by Alabama Artist, Sarah West. This exhibition provides viewers with a unique perspective of the works, the artist and the place in which the series was created.
The Civility Paintings | Return Exhibition celebrates the reunion of the Civility Paintings while continuing to commemorate landmark historic events portrayed through these paintings addressing the American Narrative.
The Civility Paintings | Alabama State Capitol Debut Exhibition & Return Exhibitions are listed as National Women’s Suffrage Movement Centennial Events within the state of Alabama.
