Passed down through the centuries, each yield themselves to preservation and conservation of our rich and diverse history. Our history, we feel should be shared, conserved and properly preserved for future generations.
As owner of the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art, I am delighted to announce a new program which will provide our local community of Smiths Station, Alabama and the region as a whole, with opportunities for education, inspiration and involvement through the vast realms which comprise the world of Cultural Arts.
The Cultural Arts Enrichment Program brought to you by the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art will host a variety of ongoing events featuring regional and international recording artists, musicians, writers, poets, visual artists and more, who have strived to not only capture their life and time through their art, but who have also dedicated a significant part of their art to passing along the profound influences and values which have inspired them.
It is with great joy that I am honored to announce that our dear friend, storyteller extraordinaire, songwriter and music preservationist, Jim Avett will be the Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art’s featured artist for the debut of our Cultural Arts Enrichment Program’s- Artist’s Showcase to be held collaboratively with The Sarah West Gallery of Fine Art & Mount Zion United Methodist Church on Thursday October 8th, 2015.
